Alois Herrnbock

Alois Herrnbock, of Dauphin, Manitoba passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre, at the age of 84 years.

Born in 1938 in Kirchberg, Germany, to Maria Herrnbock. Alois took to agriculture and business. He operated a farm and a custom combining business, and married his first wife, Maria Winkelbauer in Schoenberg Germany in 1960. Together they had seven kids. In 1978 Dad started a new venture in Paraguay in South America, where he met his second wife, Ana Maria Gaidek. They moved to Canada in the late 80s to begin a new life farming in Ethelbert, Manitoba. They had one son, Christian. In 2005 Alois and Ana separated, and Alois retired from agriculture and moved to Dauphin. He enjoyed growing a massive garden every year, tending to his flowers and traveling throughout Manitoba. He had quite enjoyed buying, and selling coins and stamps and other collectibles. He had a close connection with his neighbours, first Walter, and then Mr. And Mrs. Stanley. 

Alois is survived by six children and their spouses in Germany along with his son Christian (Darcy), and many grand and great grand children.

Alois was pre-deceased by his parents, his sons Andreas, and Alois, his first wife Maria, and his best friend Walter. 

The family wishes to thank Ron & Karlene Stanley for being with Alois in his final years. 

A Funeral Service will be held for Alois on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. from Pathways Funeral Services, with Father Michel Nault officiating.
