It is with deep sadness that the family of Annie Fedchun announce her passing on July 20, 2024, at the age of 99 years. Annie was born on May 12, 1925, in the Kobzar District of Saskatchewan, to parents John & Nellie Hrabarchuk.
Annie attended grade school in Kobzar, and on July 20, 1946, she married Harry Fedchun. Together they raised two children, Phyllis Anne and Teresa Nadine (Kevin Davis). Annie was born, and baptized in the Ukrainian Catholic faith, but married into the Ukrainian Orthodox faith.
Annie was predeceased by her husband Harry, brothers Mike, Steve & Matt, sisters Jennie & Stella and their spouses, excluding Steve’s ex-wife Leona.
Surviving Annie are her daughters Phyllis & Teresa (Kevin Davis), grandchildren Alisha & Allison Hatt, great grandchildren Kyla Johnson, Damon Johnson, Sheyannah Fournier, Juno Towers and Avery Hatt. Her favourite dog Maxi, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
The family would like to thank St. Paul’s Home staff for the excellent care provided for Annie over the years.
A prayer service will be held for Annie on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 7:00 P.M. from Pathways Funeral Services with Father Brent Kuzyk officiating.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in Manitoba – 10:00 A.M. in Saskatchewan, from the Kobzar Ukrainian Orthodox church, in Kobzar, Saskatchewan. With Father Yuree Obukh officiating, Interment will follow in the Kobzar Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery.
Should friends so desire, donations in Annie’s memory may be made to the Kobzar Ukrainian Orthodox church, or to a charity of one’s choice.
