Annie Waldroff, 99, passed away on May 28, 2023, at St. Paul’s Care Home, Dauphin, MB.
Annie was born July 18, 1923, at Vonda, Sk, to Parents Harry and Caroline Sloboda. She attended highschool at High Tor, Sk, to grade 4 and then had to quit school to help on the family farm with her siblings. Annie then moved to Watrous, Sk, then to rural Dauphin, MB. This is when she met her loving husband, Peter Waldroff. They were married in September 1944 for 66 years, until Peter’s passing. They lived and worked in Moosomin, Sk, then went back to Manitoba near Gilbert Plains, and finally to Dauphin. In 1959 they purchased their home north of Dauphin and resided there for 51 years.
Annie loved baking and cooking, and you never left her house without a care package. She was the best Mom. She loved her flowers and always planted a big garden. Annie loved all the birds and animals that came to her yard with some making it their forever home. She enjoyed fishing, travelling, visiting family and friends. Annie and Peter travelled coast to coast and to parts of the U.S.A.
Annie is survived and dearly missed by her daughters Betty (Ron), Shaunda (Ralph), grandchildren Richard, Shelby (Josh), Kalyssa, great-grandson Ryder, sisters Jean, Josephine, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Annie was predeceased by her parents, husband Peter, sisters Helen, Mary, Rose, Madeline, Emma, Barbara, and her brothers Mike, John, Joe, and Bill.
