On June 19, 1956 he married the love of his life Louise Kreshewski in Rossburn, Manitoba. They relocated to Dauphin in 1960 to be closer to Louise’s family as family was very important to Archie.

He then worked at the restaurant in the Provincial building for a number of years and prior to his retirement was employed at the Bestmore Tea House. While at the Tea House, he affectionately referred to the three owners as the “Golden Girls”.

One of his proudest achievements was the celebration of his 60th wedding anniversary to Louise in 2016. He loved the outdoors, gardening, picking wild berries and especially morels in the springtime.
