It was in Winnipeg where he met Marguerite (Peggy) Goulet, a beautiful and talented woman, who in dad's words saw him standing on a corner and Peggy gave a wolf whistle!........Dad was in love.

Dad also loved travelling with mom to Palm Springs, or Kissimmee and Hawaii. Dad also loved golf, watching baseball as well as writing music and simply conversing with people. He was a true gentle-man.
He also was a devoted Christian attending the Gospel Hall as a child, then Dauphin's First United Church, also The First Baptist church of Dauphin. Then attending the New Life Center and Mountain View Christian Assembly, where his son Pastor Scott Allen was minister.
