Earle Mitchell

Ronald Earle Mitchell of Grandview, Manitoba passed away at the Grandview Personal Care Home, on Monday, July 8, 2024, at the age of 95 years. Earle was born on 15 Dec 1928 to Raymond Mitchell and Annie (Britton) Mitchell, along with his twin brother Laverne Mitchell.

Earle was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Annie Mitchell, twin brother Laverne Mitchell, Sisters Wilda (Fred Kirbyson), Cairene (Weir Brothers, Roy Coulter), niece Brenda (Mitchell) Maxwell.

Earle is survived by his sister Diane (Fred Thorgilsson), Brother Keith Mitchell and sister-in-law Ella Mitchell.

Earle grew up in the Ottawa District, attended Ottawa School. Earle farmed with Laverne, “Mitchell Brothers”, mixed livestock and grain farm, retiring in 2003.

Earle was a lifetime member of the Grandview Men’s Curling club, golfed at the Gilbert Plains golf course, supporter of the Grandview Museum, Grandview Legion, Grandview Coop, Grandview Seniors Garden.

Travelled to Hawaii, Florida, Texas with his sister Diane and Fred Thorgilsson.

Earle was a very kind man and would lend a hand to anyone. He will be missed by many.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 15th, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. from the Grandview United Church with Reverend Steve Wilson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens.
