Marie Alma “Edna” Duchscherer (nee Boisjoli), 87 of Dauphin, MB, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026.
She was born on October 20, 1938 in Gravelbourg, SK to Margaret and Moises Boisjoli.
Edna was married to Anthony (Tony) on November 11, 1960. They were happily married for 65 years. Edna & Tony lived in Saskatchewan and British Columbia before settling in Manitoba where they became owner/operator of a KFC franchise. Edna was actively involved in the Catholic Women’s League and the Dauphin Lionelles club for many years. They travelled extensively from Hong Kong to Switzerland, Texas and numerous other places.
Edna was a magnificent cook and a legendary baker, as many people can attest to.
Tony and Edna built a cottage at Singush Lake in the Duck Mountains in 1983. Many family parties and loud card games were held there.
She is survived by her beloved husband Tony and their two children, Morley (Cheryl) of Winnipeg, MB and Donna Murphy (Bill) of Amarillo TX, grandsons Ethan and Joseph Murphy and great grandson Remington Murphy.
Edna was the last of 9 siblings.
A private service will be held at a later date.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
