Edward Trach, age 89 years, passed away suddenly on March 7th, 2023. 

Ed is survived by his sister Emily Shmon, sister-in-law Jane Trach and brother-in-law Hal Joyce and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. 

Ed was predeceased by his parents Fred and Mary Trach and his siblings John(Rose), Anthony(Mary)(Eva),Peter, Frank (Thelma),Louis, Francis, Margaret and brother-in-law Ernie Shmon. 

In his younger years Ed enjoyed bowling and visiting with family and friends. Ed was raised on the family farm and he and his brother Peter continued in their father’s footsteps. With their hard work and dedication, the farm grew and thrived. Ed retired from farming at age 82.   

The family would like to thank Gary Sydor and Jason Beyette for their friendship and support to Ed over the years and to the caregivers at Gilbert Plains Medical Centre for their kindness and care. 

A funeral service was held at Pathways Funeral Services, Thursday, March 16, at 1:00 P.M. Father Michel Nault officiated.

Interment followed in the Chatsworth Cemetery in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba
