Gordon Trembach Obituary

Gordon was born on June 5, 1944, to Milton and Rose (Spodaryk) Trembach in Dauphin, Manitoba.  He peacefully went to his eternal reward in the Dauphin Regional Health Centre on May 9, 2023, with his family by his side, reaching the age of 78 years.  He suffered with bowel cancer for one and a half years.

Gordon grew up on the family farm together with his siblings and attended the country school for eight years.  He spent years land clearing, farming, trucking, logging, and sawing lumber.  In 1995 he purchased his own sawmill, set it up on his yard and enjoyed many hours of custom sawing, making a countless number of friends.  He experienced the new birth and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite Church in Grandview, Manitoba by Minister Walter Goossen at the age of 39 years, remaining faithful to the end.

He married the love of his life Judith Goossen, neighbour girl, who lived half a mile down the road, on May 6, 1984.  In September 1997, their daughter Jasmine Nepinak joined their family, making their home complete.  In 2010 they moved to the town of Grandview, residing there until his passing.  They also spent some months, a few different times being missionaries in Thompson and Cross Lake, Manitoba.

Those left to cherish precious memories include his loving wife Judith, his daughter Jasmine and her husband Trevor Froese of Grandview, Manitoba and three granddaughters Emma, Jacy, Ava and close friend, Amanda Evans (who called him grandpa), all of Grandview, Manitoba.  His sister Grace and husband Hans Petersen of Eli, Manitoba, brother Gerald Trembach of Pine River, Manitoba.  Step mother-in-law Frances Goossen, brothers-in-law Roy and Pat Goossen, all of Grandview, Manitoba, sister-in-law Doris Goossen of Steinbach, Manitoba.  Marie and Mervin Mitchell, Joan and Ian Grexton, and Connie Goossen all of Grandview, Manitoba, Debra Brandt of Morris, Manitoba, Ruth Goossen and Terry Brink of Dauphin, Manitoba, plus numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.

Gordon was predeceased by his parents, parents-in-law, one brother, two brothers-in-law, and two nephews.

The Trembach family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude for all the prayers, words of encouragement, cards, food, and expressions of sympathy during this difficult time.

A Funeral Service was held for Gordon on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 10:30 A.M. from the Church of God in Christ Mennonite Church in Grandview, Manitoba.  Ministers Rodney Froese and Robert Goossen officiated.
