Obituary
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend,
Jean "Jeannie" Marie Mackie of Gilbert Plains passed away on December 25th, 2022 at the age of 78 years.
Jeannie will be lovingly remembered by her children Laurie Till (Husband Rick), Shadley Leforte (Wife Brenda). Her Grandchildren Chelsea Leforte (Taylor), Lacey Leforte, Hunter Leforte (Shelby), Dawson Leforte (Brooke), Zander Leforte. Her Great Grandchildren Braylee Merritt and Aaryn Laval.
Jeannie was predeceased by her Husband Neil Mackie, her son Timothy Leforte, and her Brothers Bill and David McCutcheon.
Jeannie loved following/attending her grandchildren's sporting activities. Enjoyed playing cards and games with family and friends. She was an amazing baker and always made sure her family had lots of Christmas goodies to enjoy. Jeannie always got into the holiday spirit with her different jewelry for all the occasions of the year. She also enjoyed clogging with her friends in Boissevain.
In accordance with Jeannie's wishes, the family will be hosting a Come & Go tea to honour Jeannie's life on Saturday, January 7th, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at 14 Burrows Ave. East, in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba. There will be another Come & Go tea held in Ninga, Manitoba at a later date for Jeannie's friends living in the Boissevain area.
