On Monday, August 22, 2022 at the Gilbert Plains Personal Care Home Joan passed away at the age of 100 years.
Joan was born in Worthing, England on October 12, 1921 to Robert and Beatrice Lambeth. She was in the middle of 5 siblings. When the war broke out in England everyone had to help out, Joan volunteered to work for the land army. While working on a large farm she met a Canadian soldier. December 21, 1943 Joan and Harold were married in Worthing England and after the war was over they started their life in Ashville. Gary was born in August 1946 followed by Marie in July 1948 and then came Bob in March 1955. In 1996 they moved to Dauphin, on Dunfield Ave. With dad’s passing in 1999 mom looked after the house and yard till 2009. She then moved into Lorray Manor till 2019, then going into the Gilbert Plains Personal Care Home.
Joan was predeceased by her husband Harold, son Gary and daughter Marie. Also by all of her siblings; Ivy, Dorothy Jean, Ted and Harold.
Joan leaves to mourn her passing and cherish many fond memories, son Bob and wife Nola. Grandchildren Ray and Jodi Beer, son Davin; Laurie Lee Beer, children Brandon, Riley, Megan, and Jenna; Cory Beer, children Nathan, Connor, Emily, and Logan; Chris and Brandin Crawford; children Keelin (wife Ariel), Tia and Sadie; Blake and Tanya Crawford; children Mya and Jase.
In lieu of flowers donations in Joan’s memory can be made to the Gilbert Plains Personal Care Home.
Funeral Services were held at Pathways Funeral Services in Dauphin on Monday, August 29th at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Scott Allen officiating.
Interment followed in the Eldon Cemetery in Gilbert Plains.
