With heavy hearts, the family of John Edward Caruk announce his passing on Thursday, February 17th, 2022 at the age of 73 years, in Dauphin, Manitoba.
John is survived by his loving wife Judy of 45 years, his sons Shaun (Daralyn), Troy (Jen) and his two cherished granddaughters Kaydence and Kailey.
He is also survived by his sister Mary Brenda, brother-in-law Tom Dawson, nephews Rob (Charlene) and their son Daniel; Tony (Elizabeth) Brenda and their children Zachary and Emily; Thomas (Danielle) Dawson and their children Cohen, Isaac and Elianna; Cameron Dawson.
John is predeceased by his parents Michael and Elsie and brother-in-law Jim Brenda.
John worked for the Town of Dauphin for 30 years. Upon his retirement he got himself a few cows, horses, a donkey and chickens. He loved his animals and going to the farm everyday.
John thought the world of his granddaughters who he watched grow up and it brought him joy each time they visited him and they could always get a big smile from Papa.
John loved his special friend Lucky who brought him much joy and happiness and his other furry friends Odie, Bella and Remi. He could spoil them and send them home.
A graveside service was held for John on Monday, February 21st, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. from the Dauphin Riverside Cemetery with Reverend Father Brent Kuzyk officiating.
Pallbearers were Shaun and Troy Caruk, Rob and Tony Brenda, Tom and Thomas Dawson.
Honourary Pallbearers were John Morrisseau and Michael Chaychuk.
Should friends so desire, donations in memory of John may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Kidney Foundation.
