John McKay

John Edward McKay passed away peacefully at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from complications due to his lungs.

John was born May 22, 1954, in Swan River, Manitoba.  Where he was blessed to be given a home with Margaret Ellen McKay and Edward William McKay.  He grew up in Roblin, Manitoba, and later moved to Dauphin after meeting his future wife Betty (Elizabeth) McKay.  Where he settled and had four children Christine, Jennifer, Judy and James.

John is survived by his wife Betty McKay, his children Christine Stever and husband Don Stever, Jennifer Fair and husband Jeremy Fair, Judy Crivea and Ernest Chartrand, James McKay and Cheryl Robb.  His Fur-Baby Martha as well as many grandchildren & great grandchildren.

A Celebration of John’s life was held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. from Pathways Funeral Services, a graveside interment was held at 9:30 A.M. from the Dauphin Riverside Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre for all the care they gave John.  Donations in John’s memory may be made to the Lung Association of Manitoba.
