Lilian “Lily” Maureen Queen (McCorriston) formerly of Cranberry Portage, most recently of Dauphin Beach, passed away December 12th, 2021 at the age of 75 years. She was married to Walter Queen, they spent 56 wonderful years of marriage together.
Lilian was born on December 6th, 1946 in Prince Rupert, B.C. she was the daughter of Eileen McCorriston (Dunn) and Edmond Hillis McCorriston. She worked as a postal worker for 5 years at the Cranberry Portage post office. Lil then attended Brandon University and graduated with her Bachelors of Education. She taught kindergarten at Cranberry Portage Elementary School for 12 years.
Lilian enjoyed golfing, gardening, watching curling, playing board games and spending time with her friends and family. She will always be remembered for her kind smile that could light up the room, and her cheeky comebacks.
Lilian is survived by her husband Walter, children Angie (Robert) Killam and Darren (Laurel) Queen, grandchildren Robert (Tyra), Delaney, Nick and Aubrey (Garreth), sister Noelle and many friends and extended family. She is predeceased by her parents and stepfather George Lee.
A private celebration of Lilian's life will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. from the Pathways Funeral Services Tribute Room with Wayne Olson officiating.
