Mac Molberg Obituary

Peacefully with his family by his side Mac passed away on November 19, 2025, at the age of 78 years.

Left to mourn his loss and cherish the memories are his wife Velma, Son Dean (Jen), daughters Raquel, Oralee (Bart) along with the precious Grands, Braden, Austin, Hunter, Sidney and Lettie. His siblings; sisters Sharron Hollier, Deb (Bob) Derhak, brother Roy (Ann) Molberg, also numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was predeceased by his parents Wilbert & Anne Molberg and parents in law Orlyn & Doreen Von Bargen.

Mac was an avid outdoorsman and his tales unfolded from his parents, school was never a priority. He was much happier with a fishing pole over his shoulder heading to the nearest good spot. He loved construction and heavy equipment and as a teenager went to work for Pasareno Construction and then DK Steven. He eventually went to work for the department of Highways where he was employed for 38 years. Never idle Mac loved hunting and fishing and succeeded well with both, always providing food for the table. Ski-dooing, curling in the odd bonspiel or driving combine for a buddy were enjoyed pastimes. He was a past member of the game and fish and a member of the Grandview Fire Department where he served as chief for many years. He was most proud of his kids and his precious Grands and just being in their presence gave him joy. He was their most devoted fan whether it be hockey, dance or any other activity.  While he was able to be there, the Lobert's Electric crew were among his favourite people.

Mac's was a life well lived. His work ethic, love of family, contagious laugh, sense of humour and the ability to tell a good story will be traits that those closest to him will cherish.

In accordance with Mac's wishes, cremation will take place and no formal service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grandview Fire Department, should friends so desire.

The Fallen Limb

A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me.”
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin.
Until the day comes we’re together again.
