Milton Brown Obituary

Milton Ernest Brown of Winnipegosis, MB passed away on Wednesday December 23, 2020 at the age of 54.

Milton was born on December 2, 1966 in Winnipegosis to Harvey (Joker) and Rosalia Brown, the eldest of five children.

A proud Son, Father, Brother, Uncle, Gido.

At an early age Milton loved the outdoors and being active with many activities.  One being involved in Rifle Club, winning many awards as a marksman.  He learned how to hunt, fish and trap from his father.  Milton graduated from Winnipegosis Collegiate in 1986.  After he graduated, he continued on to be a 4th generation commercial fisherman alongside his father Harvey, his brothers Wayne, Douglas, Kirk, and later on with his sons Randall and Jonah and nephew Dylan. He was an avid trapper and for many years produced many fine furs.  He passed down his trapping methods to his sons to cherish.  Hunting was another passion of his. From hunting chickens to moose, he enjoyed hunting with his family and made many great memories doing so. He knew his way around a lever action 30-30. In the off seasons of fishing, he would find himself working with Natural Resources fighting forest fires or lending a hand ranching at Red Deer Point.  Painting, cutting wood and grass was also something he loved to do. He would take pride in maintaining the family fishing boat, especially when it came to painting; the detail of the trims had to be perfect!

In his free time in the winter, you would find him riding on his skidoo making tracks down the river where he always had to be the first to ride from Foxy's to the new bridge on first ice. He spent countless hours with his daughter April, cruising around in his car, on the quad or skidoo or just simply at home joking around taking funny pictures and videos of each other. He loved his three children and was very proud of who they became.  He was a very proud Gido to his grandson Marshall and loved spending time with him.  He was also excited and anticipating the arrival of his next grandson, Remington.

Milton was a very unique and caring person, who loved his family and always made them laugh with his quirky sense of humour.  He was a careful individual who always kept things organized and perfect to his neat and tidy way.  A collector of many trinkets and souvenirs, he always had something from somewhere.  The sharp memory he had always kept him the person everyone turned to for knowledge of the past.  He loved family functions and traditions, always making sure balloons were up and pictures were taken, of all the memories made together and to be cherished forever.

Milton is survived by his mother Rosalia, his daughter April, sons Randall (Arley), Jonah (Kelly), grandsons Marshall and Remington. His sister Joanne (Gordie), brothers Wayne (Lesa), Douglas (Erin), Kirk (Brenda), Niece Aynsley, and Nephews Dylan, Keegan, Miller, Carson, Jaxson.

Milton was predeceased by his father Harvey.
