Phyllis Clyde

September 13, 1930 ~ December 29, 2021 (age 91)

Phyllis Clyde, known to her friends as Nanny passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the age of 91 years.

Phyllis was born in Dauphin, Manitoba to parents George & Elva Waite.  At a young age they moved to the R.M. of Dauphin 1 mile north of Spruce Bluff Hall.  She married Allan Clyde in 1949 and they had one daughter Muriel.

Mom worked at Modern Cleaners for many years, later on she left and went to work for the Dauphin Inn, until she got her job at the Dauphin Hospital; there she transferred to the Personal Care home, she worked there until her retirement on September 25th, 1995.  Phyllis had one granddaughter Elizibeth whom she cherished & loved very much, she would always light up when talking with her friends about her.  Nanny was always there to help whenever needed.

She would spend hours crocheting, knitting, and embroidering.  In the last couple of years it was her puzzle book.  She looked forward to her Friday & Saturday Seniors Centre bingos and her friend Verna would go to Sifton bingo for a Tuesday outing.

She thought the world of her Son in Law Gerry Thompson.  She’d tell him things before Muriel, everything was a secret with her.  She will be greatly missed by her dog Molly, along with Gerry & Muriel, Elizibeth & Emray, and a good friend Chris who could talk her ear off.  We will all miss you.

Phyllis was predeceased by her parents George, and Elva, brothers Melvin, and Lloyd, and her sister Ella.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial will be held at a later date.

Should friends so desire, donations in Phyllis' memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
