Raymond Joseph LeClaire, 88, passed away while at the Dauphin Personal Care Home on Sunday, September 28, 2025.
Raymond was born on January 13, 1937 in The Pas, MB. His early years were spent in Baden, MB and at 12 years of age the family moved to Swan River, MB.
Raymond grew up to become an amazing musician who could play both fiddle and guitar expertly. He travelled with bands such as Red Wine, Blue Light, Pure Country and Shadow Hawk. In addition he played on the music program western hour.
Raymond in his later years enjoyed playing bingo and loved to play pool. He was an accomplished pool player, winning numerous tournaments over the years.
Raymond leaves to mourn in his passing his loving wife Barbara LeClaire, his children Lyle, Debbie, Sharon, Michael, Dale, Daphnie and Veronica, his grandchildren Tyler, Kane, Phoenix, Madison, and Payten and his great-grandson Raymond. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Raymond was predeceased by his loving parents Joseph and Veronique LeClaire, brothers Joseph Jr, Bernard, August and Basil, sisters Charlott, Caroline, Julia, Evelyn and Elizabeth. As well as his cherished cats Patches and Bo Bangles.
Raymond’s departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but his spirit will live on in the memories of those who were fortunate to know him.
The family would like to thank the Dauphin Personal Care Home and Gilbert Plains Personal Care Home for their care of dad.
