Stephen (Steve) Pernarowski, aged 91 years passed away in Dauphin, MB on Thursday, May 30, 2024. Steve was born on August 9, 1932, in Saskatoon, SK. to parents Stephen and Katherine Pernarowski.

At a young age Steve moved to Yorkton, SK with his family where he graduated from high school and then went on to a career with CN Telecommunications. While working in Sioux Lookout, Ont.  Steve met the love of his life Bella and they eventually married and began their wonderful life together. They were blessed with 3 children, 6 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Throughout the years Steve enjoyed many hobbies such as woodworking, golf, playing cards with friends, life at the cottage and part time farming to name a few but his greatest joy came from his children and grandchildren always making sure that they had a handmade wooden toy or a sweet treat as soon as they walked in. For many years he was the "bull cook" for the hot lunches that he and Bella provided to their grandchildren everyday of their elementary school years.

Stephen is survived by his children Michael (Marion) Pernarowski, Kathy (Lyle) Stokotelny, David (Cindy) Pernarowski; Grandchildren Katie Pernarowski (Mike Lee), Jordan Pernarowski, Jarret (Katie) Pernarowski, Britney (TJ) Warkentin, Luke (Jaime) Stokotelny, Kyle Pernarowski and Tamara, Jacquelyn, Mackenzie and Alexander Townsend.  Great grandchildren Lucy, Anna, Louis, Landon, Brooklyn, Isabelle, Alice, Arthur, William, Wylder, and Collins.

Steve was predeceased by his wife Bella in 2001.

As per Stephen's wishes a private family service will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be sent to Dauphin & District Community Foundation. or to a charity of one's choice.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Dauphin Hospital and Dauphin Personal Care Home for the wonderful care that Steve received over his last few months.

We will miss you Dad but we know that you lived a good life and we are happy that you are now back with Mom hopefully enjoying a rum and a "stogie" while watching a beautiful sunset together.
