Sue McKee-Petersen

"It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we share the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Susan “Sue” McKee-Petersen.

Born in Dauphin, Manitoba on July 4, 1945, Sue was a bright light from the very beginning — theatrical, musical, beautiful, and full of kindness. She had a generous heart and a gentle spirit that touched everyone lucky enough to know her.

Sue lived a life rooted in love, compassion, and quiet strength. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, and above all, a nurturing mother and grandmother. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting sound of music — her way of expressing the joy and beauty she saw in the world. She gave everything to her family, always putting others first with grace, patience, and that special kind of love that only she could give.

She is deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her son Darin Schlingerman (Dreanne); granddaughters Ashleigh Gregoire (Daniel), Delaney Debreuil; and great-grandchildren Kayleigh and Jaxson — each of whom carries a piece of her beautiful spirit in their hearts.

A service in honour of Sue will be held on Saturday, October 18th, at 11:00 A.M. from the New Life Centre 404 Main St N, Dauphin, MB R7N 1C8, with Reverend Steve Wilson officiating.
