It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tom Evans, beloved husband of Barbara, on October 4th, 2024, in Dauphin, Manitoba.
Tom was born in Grandview, Manitoba, on January 16th, 1947. He had a long successful career in the long-haul trucking industry where he traveled throughout many parts of North America. Most recently he worked as a courier for Dawson Logistics, where he is very fondly remembered. Tom was very dedicated to his work, which he enjoyed very much.
Tom was a kind and gentle man who had a heart of gold. He was an incredibly generous person and was much loved by all who knew him. Tom is survived by his 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and 2 sisters. Tom will be greatly missed by lifelong friends Barry and Tony, many colleagues in the trucking industry, and his wonderful neighbourhood friends in Dauphin, including Barb Morgan, Arnie & Jeanette and Greg & Shannon. Tom will be missed most especially by his loving wife Barbara, of 22 years and their 3 cats Snoopy, Boots and Bob.
Barbara would like to express her sincere thanks and gratitude to Dr. Smith, EMS and the wonderful nurses and staff at the Dauphin Hospital for providing Tom with great care during his final days.
Should friends so desire, donations in Tom's memory may be made to the Parkland Humane Society.
