In Loving Memory of Wanda Lynn Toews
(June 6, 1965 – June 21, 2026)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wanda Toews, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

In the early morning hours of June 21, 2026, Wanda passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love of those who meant the most to her: her devoted husband, Vern Toews; her daughter, Jamie Toews; her son, Kyle Toews, and his wife, Dallas Toews; and her cherished grandchildren, Jake and Hailey Toews, who were truly the lights of her life. 

Wanda's greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted mother whose love knew no bounds, always offering support, guidance, and encouragement to those she loved. Her kindness, warmth, and generous spirit touched countless lives, and her presence brought comfort to everyone around her.

She will be remembered for her unwavering strength, her caring heart, her sense of humour, and her ability to make others feel welcomed and loved. Whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or simply being there when someone needed her, Wanda made a lasting impact on the lives of many.

Wanda was predeceased by her mother, Joan Matz. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her brother, Scott Morrisette, and his wife, Verna; her nephew, Dustin; and her niece, Ashley Buckert, her husband, Tony, and their children. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, dear friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

A celebration of Wanda's life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. from the Fork River Hall in Fork River, Manitoba. 

The family would like to thank the healthcare teams who cared for her with compassion and dignity throughout her illness.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Dauphin Regional Health Centre in Wanda's memory.
