Wesley Fee Obituary
Wes Fee was born Feb 21,1942 in Dauphin Manitoba to Charles and Margaret Fee (nee Carmichael) and was the youngest sibling to Chester, Mary, Betty and Iris. Wes married Beverly Thiessen and had children Tracy and Darren. He later married Sharon Henderson and had children Dori, Warren, Myles and Amber. He passed away Monday, July 6th at the age of 84 at St. Paul’s Personal Care Home, surrounded by his wife and children.
Wes loved growing up on the family grain farm outside of Dauphin at the foot of Riding Mountain National Park. He attended Durston School near the farm until grade 8 and then attended Dauphin Collegiate Technical Institute in the town of Dauphin for his high school years. He has many fond memories of playing football for the high school team the Aristocrats. Wes spoke often of his early days working with his Carmichael uncles where they would use heavy horses to work the fields. His love for heavy horses remained throughout his life and his last outing this year was to watch the draft horse hitch classes at the Dauphin Fair.
After graduating from high school Wes attended Briercrest Bible Institute in Caronport, Saskatchewan earning his pastoral degree. Throughout the rest of his life Wes could often be found reading his Bible as he enjoyed studying the scriptures and expanding his biblical knowledge. After the death of his father, Wes returned to the family farm for a while before beginning his career as a plumber; a career he enjoyed until his retirement.
Wes believed in serving his community and gave many hours to Dauphin Bible Camp working as the on-call plumber as well as maintaining the swimming pool. He also invested many hours at Parkside Gospel Church leading different AWANA groups with his wife Sharon. He volunteered with the youth group over the years by taking teens to work at UGM soup kitchen in Winnipeg and attending Youth Quake at Briercrest. He often led services at church and gave sermons when needed.
Wes loved supporting his kids however he could. He enjoyed attending their events and supporting their dreams. This love of supporting his family continued on with his grandchildren and he could often be found cheering them on at their sports and musical activities. He loved them very much. When he wasn’t having fun with his kids or grandkids he could be found reading, eating, gardening, travelling and attending Dauphin Kings Games!
Wes is predeceased by his son Darren Fee, his parents Charles and Margaret, sisters and brothers-in-law Mary (Arvin) Bos, Betty (Ross) Seale, Jackie Robinson, nieces Karla and Vonda Bos, nephews Loughan Fee and Calvin Bos, Mother-in-law Grace Henderson and Father-in-law Ralph Henderson, Sister-in-Law Margaret Good and nephew David Good.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years Sharon and his children Tracy (Kevin), daughter-in-law Trish, Dori, Warren (Lisa), Myles (Emily) and Amber. His grandchildren Connor, Isabelle (Julien), Jaymen, Hayden, Renee, Colette, Wesley and great-grandson Sawyer. His brother Chester (Muriel), sister Iris (Bob), and sister Gerry (Harry) Van Mook, brother-in-law Jeff Woods. Brothers-in-law Bob (Adeline) Good and Bob (Arlene) Henderson. And many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
'For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?'
